Darren Till says Mike Tyson ‘is in no fit state’ to fight Jake Paul – and has offered to step in for the 58-year-old if he’s unable to return to the ring later this year.

Tyson and Paul had been due to fight on July 18. However, their bout was pushed back after the boxing icon suffered an ulcer flare up.

Paul emphatically beat Perry on Saturday night, winning via knockout to continue his impressive start to his boxing career.

As things stand, he’s due to lock horns with Tyson on November 15.

But Till has offered to step in. Writing on X, he says Tyson is in ‘no fit state’ to face a man 31 years his junior – which is why he’s eager to take his place.

“[Alex] Pereira is under contract & Mike Tyson is in no fit state,” he said.

“I am the same size & weight, Are we fighting or not? I got ducked the last pull out with Tyson & they got that midget Perry to step in instead of me.

“I’m here & I am going to say nothing else. I’ll wait for the call.”

Till also spoke to Submission Radio. Though he says he didn’t miss the fight, he did criticise Paul – insisting the 27-year-old was ‘terrible’ as he secured victory.

“I didn’t even watch the fight,” he said.

“But from the clips I’ve seen it was atrocious, it was just low-level striking, Jake Paul was gassed after the first round – to be honest, I don’t even know what Mike was doing in there.

“I’m actually quite speechless, Jake was terrible and so was Mike.”

Paul, after beating Perry, urged Tyson to ‘sign the contract’.

“Mike Tyson, you’re next. Sign the contract,” he said. “I’m excited for that one, I’m going to go home and prepare for that one. It’s happening, November 15.”

Paul also says Tyson is already back in training. He’s eager to prove everybody wrong, fully aware of how many people want him to lose against a man widely considered one of the best heavyweights of all time.

“Mike Tyson is training, he’s back, looking crazier than ever,” he continued.

“I’m going to get another KO and prove everyone wrong once again.

“Everyone said I was an idiot for taking this fight, that I was risking it but this is why I’m here, I take big risks.

“Mike, I love you but this is my sport now.

“You’re a legend, you’re one of the two most famous boxers ever to live, you and Muhammad Ali.

“It’s an honour to get in the ring with you.

“I’m so, so honoured; you’re a legend, but I’m going to take your throne.”
