Hartlepool MP Jonathan Brash says locals are “waking up absolutely appalled” after a night of unrest in the seaside town.

A large group gathered in Hartlepool’s Murray Street area and clashed with police, causing injuries.

Eight people have been arrested and a clean-up operation is underway.

Brash spoke to GB News and said the events were “appalling”.
