Kamala Harris confirms VP running mate in bid to win key swing state
Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz as her running mate in the presidential election.
The announcement comes just one day after Harris officially secured her Democratic nomination.
Walz is in his second term as Minnesota governor and chairs the Democratic Governors Association.
The 60-year-old is a former US Army National Guard member and a former teacher who has raised his profile over recent weeks as an advocate for Harris.
The former member of Congress will be officially introduced as Harris’ running mate at a rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, today.
Walz has attacked Donald Trump and his running mate, JDVance as “weird” in a viral insult.
