Police have submitted a “comprehensive file of evidence” to the Crown Prosecution Service in an update on an incident at Manchester Airport which saw three officers injured and a man kicked in the head.

GMP Major Incident Team investigators have been “thoroughly investigating the incident” which happened in July.

Manchester Police said four men remain on police bail.

An investigation was launched after video footage was shared online of violent scenes at a car park in Terminal 2 where an officer is seen kicking and stamping on the head of Fahir Amaaz, 19.

A second video of the moments leading up to the incident shows Amaaz and his brother, Muhammad Amaad, 25, appearing to throw punches at three officers.

The footage also captures Amaaz being tasered.

Following the incident, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said a GMP constable was under criminal investigation for assault in connection with the arrests of the brothers.

A second officer was later told they were also under criminal investigation for assault.
